Terms of use.

Plain-English summary, written for humans. Last updated 24 April 2026. This is an interim version while we work on a fuller document.

Who runs this

It's In Writing is operated by Wonderfiire (an Australian sole trader, Brisbane). When this page says "we" it means us; "you" means the person using the service.

What the service does

It's In Writing keeps a tamper-proof record of messages between two parties — usually co-parents. Every message is timestamped and cryptographically chained to the one before it. Once sent, a message cannot be edited or deleted by anyone, including us.

Your account

What you can and can't write

You're responsible for what you send. Don't use the service to threaten, harass, or break the law. We do not moderate messages day to day, but if we receive a lawful court order, we will comply with it.

Our limits

We provide the service "as is". We do our best to keep it running and your record intact, but we're a small operation. The service is not a substitute for legal advice or for emergency communication.

Money

Free tier is genuinely free for the first five messages, lifetime. Reading is always free. Paid tier pricing is shown on the home page and on your billing screen. Cancel any time; the record stays.

Ending things

You can stop using the service at any time. If we suspend or close an account for serious cause (court order, abuse of the service), we'll tell you and explain why where we can.

Law

These terms are governed by Australian law. If a court finds part of them unenforceable, the rest still applies.
